Product description
pH / KH Fit minus: Reduces the pH value and the carbonate hardness
Reduces the carbonate hardness to the optimum value quickly and with ease. In addition, pH / KH Fit minus can also be used for easy removal of stubborn calcium deposits on panels and equipment.
Dosing:
20 ml for every 100 l reduce the carbonate hardness by approx. 1.2 °KH
Please note that the carbonate hardness should always be reduced in stages. We therefore recommend you do not exceed a maximum reduction of 2 °KH per day. Altogether you should not let values fall below 3 °KH.
In the case of KH values of 5 ° and less: Maximum dose of 10 ml for every 100 l.
The carbonate hardness (KH) is an important water parameter. Aquarists should make sure the value is always adjusted to the optimum level. A carbonate hardness below 4 ° should be avoided. Values that are too high, i.e. above 10 °KH, can have a detrimental effect. Fish from soft water areas, such as neons, scalares and discus from South America, as well ascongotetra fromWest Africa, for example, do not tolerate such high values well. Certain water plants also to not grow so well in high carbonate hardness.
With pH / KH Fit minus you can reliably reduce the carbonate hardness and the pH value for hard raw water. We recommend to reduce the carbonate hardness only to a minimum value of 4 °KH.
Our insider tip: Stubborn calcium deposits can be be removed easily and quickly using pH / KH Fit minus if you dilute it at a ratio of one : two. You should test compatibility with the respective material at an inconspicuous spot.
